Katie + Brandon
Hey friends! Happy Monday!! I hope that you are all doing well and enjoying these last few days leading up to Christmas. :)
The weeks this fall/winter have seem to have passed quicker than they ever have before. Life is chugging away (isn't it for us all?) and blog posts have been piling up. Truthfully, I have been slow to publish posts because everyone who has had a session with me in the past few weeks is just way too cool! I can't seem to find the adequate words to introduce each family to you. I'm constantly in awe of the couples and families I get to meet and am so grateful for each and every one of them.
With that being said, one of my best friends called me out yesterday and said "GIRL!! Start blogging!!" Thank God for true friends, am I right? Time to get out of my own head a bit and share these wonderful people with the world.

A couple months ago, Katie reached out about having a session with her husband and their adorable pup. Katie and Brandon were married over the summer and thought it would be fun to have some updated photos heading into the holidays. Love it! (imagine me saying this with jazz hands and a big Oprah voice) I'm being totally serious here...while I love wedding photography and the amazing photos that come out it, there is something to be said for having photos of you and your significant other in a more relaxed setting. Most of us don't walk around with a white dress and a tux on a regular basis, right? I think it is important to capture those moments that seem almost regular or routine, because one day you'll look back on those images and recall just how special those moments really were (and are).
These two are so awesome together. I loved how Katie would just light up whenever Brandon said something funny, and vice versa.
We headed to Clark Lake, one of my favorite places to shoot, on one of the craziest weather days we had this fall. Literally minutes before we started shooting it was pouring...and sunny. Yay for fall in the PNW!! :) Fortunately, the rain passed and we were able to take advantage of some really pretty (and rare) evening sun.
Here are a few faves:
Thank you, Katie and Brandon, for being such amazing people and asking me to spend some time with you this year!! Can't wait to see what 2017 brings for you.
xo,
