There are two sides to October in the Pacific Northwest. We have days like today, where it is literally raining from morning until evening. On the flip side, we also have days like last Sunday when the sun gloriously shone through the trees on a beautifully brisk morning.

I met up with Liz, Sean, and their two adorable kiddos at one of my favorite hole-in-the-wall parks in Maple Valley. We lucked out with not only some awesome weather, but the chance to see tons of salmon in the Cedar River. Liz and I went to college together, and it has been super fun to see how both of our lives have evolved since the good ol' days at Gonzaga. :)
