Dani + Jonathan | Wedding

A little over a week ago, I had the pleasure of documenting Danielle and Jonathan's beautiful wedding day. They were married on a gloriously sunny day, and it just felt like even Heaven was celebrating the fact that these two were getting married.

Dani and Jonathan are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. They genuinely care about everyone around them and were so considerate of others on their own wedding day. Every person that stopped to say hello, every friend that waved from across the room, both Dani and Jonathan made a point to stop what they were doing and give that person their full attention. That type of person is very hard to come by, and I think all of us present at their wedding recognized that these two lovely individuals were meant to be joined in marriage.

It was such an honor to spend the day with them.  Their wedding Mass took place at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Bothell and it was a treat to be able to photograph in the church. As a fellow Catholic, I really enjoy photographing Masses.  When I'm photographing in a church, I'm realizing it becomes so much more to me than just snapping photos of people. It becomes an entirely different method of worship, just like singing in the choir or being a lector. During their wedding Mass, the church was flooded with these gorgeous rays of sun beaming down from the windows near the ceiling. It was quite breathtaking, actually!

Some favorite parts from their day: Seeing both Dani and Jonathan open their presents from each other. | The groomsmen all had funky socks, except for one of them who didn't get the memo...so he cut holes in his before the ceremony started. | Watching Dani and Jonathan interact with everyone they saw throughout the day. Such kind souls. | The airport/airplane themed reception decor (he's a Boeing engineer) | The flower girl falling asleep at the reception. | The wedding cake! It was so beautiful! | All of the speeches were rock solid. I was totally crying. | Jonathan and his mom's dance was 100% choreographed and pretty much the best thing I've ever seen in my entire life. They had the whole crowd cheering and singing along!
